Reasons to Choose a Vapor Cat
-
Safety Standards
All Vapor Cats are designed and built to Australian commercial craft standards (NSCV). Vapor Cats are Australian Standard 1799 compliant and meet ABP Safety Standards. They feature inbuilt buoyancy foam for upright floatation and self-draining cockpit - the structure, stability and floatation of your Vapor Cat will keep you and your family safe. Additionally, all Vapor Cats feature self-draining decks ensuring superior swamping protection.
-
Stability & Economy
All Vapor Cats feature a unique bow shape that produces an extended waterline length and facilitates a finer entry angle meaning the boats handle like much larger vessels.
The unique asymmetric tunnel geometry generates a high-density air/water vapor cushion for the hull to ride on, resulting in a significantly dampened ride and reduced fuel consumption. Full-length longitudinal steps give the hull efficient lift and dynamic stability and the catamaran hull configuration gives superior stability in all conditions.

Dynamic Design
Vapor Cats is the result of a partnership between specialist vessel designers Paul Bury of Bury Design and Dax Callagher of CAD Projects Australia who saw potential for tangible improvements in hull forms and construction techniques that the major manufacturers didn’t want to risk investing in.
With a combined experience of over 40 years, the two have created Vapor Cats - the next evolution in boat design.
